Comer Construction recognized several employees for their commitment to safety in the workplace during its Annual Meeting recently. A total of 10 employees received honorary plaques in recognition for their outstanding effort and achievement in making Comer Construction a safer place to work.
The 2016 Safety Award recipients are:
- William Burris, Grading Division Operator: 2,256 safe hours worked
- William Cockerham, Grading Division Assistant: 2,195.5 safe hours worked
- Christopher Duffy, Utility Division Assistant: 2,358.5 safe hours worked
- Rodney Hale, Grading Division Foreman: 2,265.5 safe hours worked
- James LeBrun III, Utility Division Operator: 2,325 safe hours worked
- Stephen May, Sr., Mechanic: 2,155 safe hours worked
- Carl Sexton, Truck Driver: 2,927.5 safe hours worked
- Lance Whiteford, Utility Division Foreman: 2,029.5 safe hours worked
Each year, Comer Construction also honors employees who serve in supervisory roles for their team’s overall commitment to safety. This year’s recipients are:
- Matthew Scarff, Chief Estimator: Administrative Division Safety Award
- Randolph Slade, Equipment Manager: Safety Management Awards
