Comer Construction is proud to contribute to the creation of Hazelwood Skatepark, a transformative project for the Rosedale community. This project, managed by general contractor North Point Builders, exemplifies the collaborative effort required to bring such a significant recreational space to life.
This skatepark is Baltimore County’s first newly built concrete bowl facility in nearly fifty years, designed for skateboarders, bikers, roller skaters, and scooter riders of all skill levels. The $4.3 million project, situated on 10.5 acres of undeveloped County-owned space, will serve as Eastern Baltimore County’s counterpart to the historic Sandy Hills Skate Park in Lansdowne.
The park’s design reflects the vision of local skateboarding advocates and features a central concrete bowl as its highlight. In addition to the skatepark, the project includes the construction of a park access road, a parking lot, and various support amenities. A significant portion of the property will remain wooded, preserving natural green space within the densely populated community. This project is part of Baltimore County’s broader vision to enhance recreational spaces.
